Canada “Sunny Cup” Seniors’ Series Table Tennis Friendship Tournament

This is an event with the purpose of revitalizing and energizing the healthy, active lifestyle of seniors. Canada “Sunny Cup” Seniors’ Series Table Tennis tournament will take place in July of 2022. Important information is as follows:

Event Hosting

The event will be hosted by the Sunny International Table Tennis Association, in partnership with the Sunny Seniors Club.

Eligibility

All seniors living in Canada aged 55 years and older (not limited to gender) who are interested in table tennis are eligible to participate. All participants must be willing to participate, with support from their friends and family. When signing up, the Voluntary Participation Form must also be attached.

Event Details

1. Singles and Doubles matches will be held separately.
2. The participants will be divided into two age groups: 55 – 65 years of age, and 66 and above.
3. Each group will play 16 singles matches and 8 doubles matches.

Event Rules

1. The first round of matches will be in a rotational form with randomly selected groups. The following rounds will be elimination matches.
2. All matches will be won by the best of 3, with the first group to reach 11 points per round.
3. Butterfly 40+ international competition standard table tennis balls will be used in this event.
4. This competition will follow the rules outlined in the Table Tennis Rules outlined by Table Tennis Canada.

Singles: July 6, 2022; July 13, 2022; July 20, 2022 (Wednesdays, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Doubles: July 8, 2022; July 15, 2022; July 22, 2022 (Fridays, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM)

Event Signup

Seniors older than 65 have a signup fee of $5.00, Seniors younger than 65 have a signup fee of $10.00. During the competition, participants can use tickets provided to enter the facility free of charge. Signup starts immediately, and ends on June 20, 2022. If the signup window is missed, then participants will be placed in the following event.

加拿大 “阳光杯”长者系列乒乓球友谊赛

为丰富退休长者的健康生活，活跃长者乒乓球活动，加拿大“阳光杯”长者系列乒乓球友谊赛将于2022年7月举行。现将有关事项通知如下：

一、主办单位
加拿大阳光国际乒乓球协会

二、协办单位
阳光老年俱乐部

三、参赛资格
1、凡加拿大境内55周岁以上，热爱乒乓球的球友（男女不限）均可参加比赛。
2、参加友谊赛以本人自愿、亲属支持为原则。报名时，须附《自愿参赛责任书》。

四、比赛方法
（一）比赛项目
1、单打、双打（男女均可）
2、比赛分为55岁—65岁组、66以上组别。
3、每个组别单打16人，双打八组，
（二）比赛规则
1、比赛第一轮为分组循环赛，抽签分组，每组4人。第二轮为淘汰赛，决出前四名。
2、所有比赛均采用3局2胜11分制。
3、比赛使用蝴蝶 40+白色国际比赛用球。
4、比赛执行加拿大乒协审订的《乒乓球竞赛规则》的相关规则。

五、比赛时间
单打：2022年7月6日、7月13日、7月20日，（周三，上午9:30—11:30）
双打：2022年7月8日、7月15日、7月22日，（周三，上午9:30—11:30）

七、比赛报名
65岁以上收报名费$5，65岁以下收报名费$10/人。
比赛期间参赛者凭主办单位发放的入场券免费进场。
即日起开始报名，报名额满为止。截止日期：2022年6月20日。
报名截止后仍有报名者，将安排下一次比赛。

八、比赛奖励
比赛按总成绩取前四名进行奖励。第一名奖励奖杯和奖牌，第二至第四名奖励奖牌。第五名至第八名均奖励由阳光乒乓球俱乐部赞助的礼品卡一张（价值$10）。

九、裁判
本届友谊赛裁判长、裁判员由比赛组委会统一安排。

十、本次比赛规程解释权属加拿大阳光国际乒乓球协会。
报名请到阳光乒乓球俱乐部填写报名表，缴纳报名费。
