Second Season of Canada “Sunny Cup” Seniors’ Series Table Tennis Friendship Tournament Announces Winners

On August 24, 2022, the second season of the Canada “Sunny Cup” Seniors’ Series Table Tennis Friendship Tournament came to an end with a small award ceremony. As a part of the federally funded “New Horizons for Seniors” program, this event is a step in the right direction for promoting healthy active lifestyles among senior citizens. Out of over 50 participating seniors, 35 winners rose above them all.

Though less participants showed up for this season of the tournament, the competition was still tight and fast-paced. The competitive abilities of these seniors have only improved since the last season! Many matches were quite evenly matched and extremely tense throughout.

Experienced coach Baofeng Han and Canada Sunny International Table Tennis Association Chairman Weiqi Zhou presented the awards to our many well-deserving champions.

CSITTA Chairman Weiqi Zhou presents the first place award to Vineet Kumar Chaudhry of the 50-64 age group singles.

Chairman Weiqi Zhou presents the fourth place award to Han Qiaowei of the 65+ age group singles.
